"The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin
Analyzed by Carli Alvarado

Reading

During the reading part of our writing process, I annotated a printed version of the text and also wrote down notes while reading. I also jotted down some thematic terms I noticed throughout the text while taking note of how Chopin incorporated them. I put stars next to parts that I thought were important.

Inventing

For the invention part of our process I posed some questions that would help me frame my thesis. I also clustered some of my ideas about the text with appropriate quotes.

After my first draft was edited, I made a revision list for my second draft. I made some pretty big changes, hoping that my next edit would focus on smaller details.

Draft Two
(Reviewedby Leanna)

This draft was edited by Leanna. She caught alot of the grammatical errors that I had missed. The thesis scribbled on the top of the first page is the one that I decided to use for my next draft.

Draft Three
(Reviewed by Rob Hale)

After this edit I finaly formed a thesis that really supported what I was saying throughout my paper about Marriage. I decided to make a change from "unwanted marriage" to "Traditional Marriage".
